Case study: From idea to reality – with the help of 3D scanning and 3D printing

Client: Skink
Mission: To create products that realistically simulate human faces for training in PMU (Permanent Makeup) classes and for personal practice.
Objective: To develop a physical model – a mask that fully reflects the individual features of the human face for more realistic training and exercises.

The challenge

Skink needs a realistic and accurate 3D model of a human face to be used in training environments.
The main challenges include:

  • Maximum accuracy in reproducing facial features;
  • Suitable material and technology for 3D printing, ensuring detail and durability;
  • Optimization of the process from scanning to finished product.

The solution

The 3Dbgprint team applied a complete 3D technology cycle – from digitization to physical realization:

  1. 3D scanning:
    We used a specialized 3D scanner from the SHINING 3D series to capture the face of our colleague with exceptional precision.
  2. Digital model:
    We received an STL file – a digital twin of the real face, ready for processing and printing
  3. 3D printing:
    We printed the model using a Bambu series 3D printer, ensuring a detailed surface and high accuracy.
  4. 🎭 Final result:
    A realistic mask, identical to the model’s face – ideal for practical training and demonstrations.

Results

  • Fully realized 3D model with high accuracy and detail;
  • Successful implementation of the technology in Skink’s training processes;
  • Demonstration of the endless possibilities of 3D scanning and printing for personalized solutions.

Conclusion

This project is an example of how innovation meets practice – through modern 3D technologies, any idea can be turned into a real, functional product.
At 3Dbgprint, we believe that there are no limits when it comes to creating, designing, and printing. Only new horizons.
