3D modeling is a technique successfully used in the field of computer graphics to create 3D digital images of objects and surfaces. Expert artists use specialized software to manipulate points in virtual space, called “vertices”, forming a network that represents and builds 3D objects.

In 3D computer graphics, polygonal modeling is an approach to modeling objects by representing or approximating their surfaces using polygonal meshes. This modeling is well suited for Rendering. The basic object used in mesh modeling is the vertex, which is a point in three-dimensional space.
Although models are built manually, in a large percentage of cases, specialists use specialized tools. They are divided into two main modeling methods – Box Modeling and Extrusion Modeling.
Box Modeling uses the ability to divide faces and edges into surfaces by creating new vertices.
Extrusion Modeling, on the other hand, is used to extrude a 3D shape by extracting outlines from a 2D object, photo, or drawing. The procedure is repeated from different angles.
